In an agricultural country like India, cow has been the backbone of its culture ,an unfailing asset of its economy and a guiding star of its life. The cow has been feeding our children, nourishing our people and benefiting for all of us. No wonder that our ancestors realised her many sided utility and have been worshipping her as “MOTHER COW”. For the sake of ,protection and promotion of cows and its whole family – Kanpur Gaushala Society established in 1988. In a money oriented society of today, the people have become insensitive to the mother cows and are selling them to butchers. The butchers are carried mercilessly to slaughter houses. In these adverse circumstances the Kanpur Gaushala Society started result oriented efforts for the betterment of the Gaushala. We have registered under society registration act –Regn no 737 Dt.14.8.1917,having a valid certificate of manufacturing of medicine from Ayurvedic and Yunani Directorate-U.P. (LNA-3068/2000, running under U.P.Gaushala Act Dated 3.1.1969 Our all medicines are made of wholly organic materials with the base of cow urine and cow dung. Our products, medicines, phenoyls, pesticides and manures are also tested and recognised by the C.S.A. University, Kanpur, K.B.central quality control laboratory, HBTI kanpur, Council of Science & Technology U.P. Lucknow, Central Institute of medicine and Aromatic plants Lucknow and Indian veterinary Research institute ,Izzatnagar U.P. To this end, different types of new dimensions and plans are being practiced in a very planned way. Some of them are as follows :- Bullock driven generator as an alternative energy. Bullock driven tractor-generator run by Gobar Gas. Separating Co2 from dung gas and bottling it as CNG. Development and propagation method of preparing biological manures. Producing electricity up to 12 to 15 volts from cow urine. Making various types of medicines and goods of daily use from the cow urine and dung. Also soap and shampoo marketed for public sale. Developed red earth worm –culture manure and biological manures for gardens etc from cow dung. Up to 15 KVA generators run by gobar gas. We had prepared a new type of tiles as a substitute for the old types of tiles (Khaprail ) ,with the mixture of cow dung. Further, these new tiles are cheap, light radiation resistant water fire and sun heat proof and also are easily replaceable. Prepared mosquito repellent coils with cow urine and cow dung, which are being sold in market very successfully. Prepared pesticide and phenyl with the cow urine. regarding this, farmers can protect their crops from pests and germs by sprinkling the new pesticide. Similarly, with 60% of cow urine, an antibacterial indigo has been successfully prepared which kills all types of germs and insects of the clothes.
